Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September

On behalf of CR Cats, I would like to welcome everyone to our slalom site on the River Devon, Alva for this year’s Division 3/4  Races. I hope you all have a very enjoyable day, especially those competing for the first time.

If you have any queries, please e-mail CRCATS.EVENTS@gmail.com

Slalom site

The slalom site is on the River Devon between Fishcross and Alva (Map OS Reference is NS894960).  If coming from Alva on the A91, turn right once you have left Alva (signposted Fishcross). The slalom site is on the left hand side with the entrance set back of the road before the slalom site (there is a telegraph pole opposite the entrance with a mirror on it). If coming from Kincardine Bridge, follow signs for Sterling Mills on the A908 but turn left at Fishcross onto the B9140 and then first right signposted for the Equestrian Centre.  If using SATNAV, use postcode FK10 3AW (This is on the other side of the river but within sight of the slalom site).  CR CATS is also now on Google Maps!

Facilities

There is camping in the field (£3.00 per person per night). For those not camping, parking is £1 per paddler to help cover the costs of maintaining the facilities and the toilets. There is a water supply and there will be toilet facilities.

Please park cars on perimeter of field and leave space in the middle for the kids to play.

There will be a cafe.

First Aid available during competition times.

Course

The course will be set by mid afternoon the day before the race.
